Your custom made ocular prosthesis is designed to be worn day and night. The less handling, the better. It is our opinion that you should wear the prosthesis as long as it is not irritating and as long as it does not have material adhered to its surface. Only a few persons need to remove the prosthesis each day for cleaning.

Always wash your hands thoroughly before handling the prosthesis and always insert the prosthesis wet.

We recommend using an artificial tear or moisture drop on the surface of the prosthesis. You will find these in almost any store that carries supplies for contact lens wearers. If you have difficulty locating either of these products please call us.
